PSIS Semarang ended the first round of the BRI Liga 1 with a 1-1 draw against Persikabo 1973 on Saturday (24/12/2022). Despite the disappointing result, PSIS owner Yoyok Sukawi has decided to give bonuses to the players as a form of appreciation for their hard work throughout the first round.

We are grateful for the players' efforts in the first round. Even though we didn't get the desired results, we still appreciate their hard work and dedication, said Yoyok.

PSIS currently sits in 10th place in the BRI Liga 1 standings with 23 points from 17 matches. The team has won six matches, drawn five, and lost six. Yoyok hopes that the bonuses will motivate the players to perform better in the second round.

We hope that this bonus will give the players extra motivation to improve their performance in the second round. We believe that we can achieve better results and finish the season in a higher position, added Yoyok.

PSIS will resume their BRI Liga 1 campaign on January 14, 2023, against Persita Tangerang.
